খুলনা (১৪ এপ্রিল) তথ্যবিবরণী : যথাযোগ্য মর্যাদা ও আনন্দঘন পরিবেশে আজ (রবিবার) খুলনায় পহেলা বৈশাখ বাংলা নববর্ষ-১৪৩১ উদযাপিত হয়। খুলনা জেলা প্রশাসন আয়োজিত অনুষ্ঠানের মধ্যে ছিলো বর্ণাঢ্য মঙ্গল শোভাযাত্রার উদ্বোধন, আলোচনা সভা, পুরস্কার বিতরণ ও সাংস্কৃতিক অনুষ্ঠান।
খুলনা জেলা শিল্পকলা একাডেমি প্রাঙ্গণে আলোচনা সভায় প্রধান অতিথির বক্তৃতায় খুলনা সিটি কর্পোরেশনের মেয়র তালুকদার আব্দুল খালেক বলেন, পহেলা বৈশাখ আমাদের সুদীর্ঘকালের গড়ে ওঠা সংস্কৃতিকে উজ্জীবিত করে। বাংলা নববর্ষে বাঙালির মাঝে নতুন করে প্রাণের স্পন্দন জেগে ওঠে। পুরনো স্মৃতি মুছে ফেলে আমরা নতুন করে আনন্দে উদ্বেলিত হয়ে উঠি এবং নতুন করে জীবন শুরু করি। তিনি বলেন, হাজার বছর ধরে এদেশে এ সংস্কৃতির ঐতিহ্য গড়ে উঠেছে। এই ঐতিহ্যকে রক্ষা করা আমাদের সকলের দায়িত্ব ও কর্তব্য। তাই বাঙালির সংস্কৃতি রক্ষায় সকলকে এগিয়ে আসতে হবে।
অনুষ্ঠানে সম্মানিত অতিথি ছিলেন খুলনা-৩ আসনের সংসদ সদস্য এস এম কামাল হোসেন। খুলনার বিভাগীয় কমিশনার মোঃ হেলাল মাহমুদ শরীফের সভাপতিত্বে অনুষ্ঠানে বিশেষ অতিথি ছিলেন কেএমপির পুলিশ কমিশনার মোঃ মোজাম্মেল হক, অতিরিক্ত রেঞ্জ ডিআইজি জয়বেদ চৌধুরী, জেলা প্রশাসক খন্দকার ইয়াসির আরেফীন, পুলিশ সুপার মোহাম্মদ সাঈদুর রহমান, মহানগর মুক্তিযোদ্ধা সংসদের সাবেক কমান্ডার বীর মুক্তিযোদ্ধা অধ্যাপক মোঃ আলমগীর কবির ও সাবেক জেলা কমান্ডার বীর মুক্তিযোদ্ধা সরদার মাহাবুবার রহমান। অনুষ্ঠানে বিভিন্ন প্রতিযোগিতার বিজয়ী শিক্ষার্থীদের মাঝে পুরস্কার বিতরণ করা হয়।
এর আগে পহেলা বৈশাখ উপলক্ষ্যে সকালে রেলওয়ে স্টেশন প্রাঙ্গণে মঙ্গল শোভাযাত্রার উদ্বোধন করেন খুলনা সিটি কর্পোরেশনের মেয়র তালুকদার আব্দুল খালেক।
পরে মেয়রের নেতৃত্বে রেলওয়ে স্টেশন প্রাঙ্গণ থেকে বর্ণাঢ্য মঙ্গল শোভাযাত্রা বের হয়ে বিভিন্ন সড়ক প্রদক্ষিণ করে জেলা শিল্পকলা একাডেমিতে গিয়ে শেষ হয়। শোভাযাত্রায় সরকারি-বেসরকারি দপ্তরের কর্মকর্তা, বিভিন্ন সামাজিক সংগঠন, শিক্ষক-শিক্ষার্থীসহ বিভিন্ন শ্রেণি পেশার জনগণ অংশ নেন।
এর আগে মেয়র নগরীর জাতিসংঘ শিশু পার্কে বর্ষবরণ ও বৈশাখী মেলার উদ্বোধন অনুষ্ঠানে প্রধান অতিথি হিসেবে বক্তৃতা করেন। তিনি ফিতা কেটে মেলার উদ্বোধন করেন। সাংস্কৃতিক সংগঠন আব্বাস উদ্দিন একাডেমি এই মেলার আয়োজন করে।
সংগঠনের সভাপতি সুলতানা রহমানের সভাপতিত্বে অনুষ্ঠানে বিশেষ অতিথির বক্তৃতা করেন মহানগর আওয়ামী লীগের সাংস্কৃতিক সম্পাদক কামরুল ইসলাম বাবলু ও সাংস্কৃতিক উন্নয়ন পরিষদের প্রধান সমন্বয়কারী মোকলেছুর রহমান বাবলু। অনুষ্ঠানটি পরিচালনা করেন আব্বাস উদ্দিন একাডেমির পরিচালক এনামুল হক বাচ্চু।
সকল শিক্ষাপ্রতিষ্ঠান স্ব-স্ব ব্যবস্থাপনায় উৎসবমুখর পরিবেশে বাংলা নববর্ষ উদযাপন করে। উপজেলাসমূহ অনুরূপ কর্মসূচি পালন করে।
