নিজস্ব প্রতিবেদক : তরুণরাই গড়বে আগামীর স্মার্ট বাংলাদেশ’ এই স্লোগান হৃদয়ে ধারণ করে আসন্ন তেরখাদা উপজেলা পরিষদ নির্বাচনে ‘মহিলা ভাইস চেয়ারম্যান’ পদে প্রার্থী হচ্ছেন উপজেলা যুবলীগের প্রভাবশালী নেতা, তেরখাদা বাজার বনিক সমিতির সভাপতি ও মুক্তিযোদ্ধা সন্তান কমান্ডের সাধারন সম্পাদক শেখ শামীম হাসানের সহধর্মিণী তেরখাদা সরকারি প্রাথমিক বিদ্যালয়ের সভাপতি, জুনারি দাখিল মাদরাসার শিক্ষক শামীমা আক্তার বিথী।
ইতোমধ্যেই উপজেলাবাসীকে পবিত্র ঈদ-উল-ফিতরের শুভেচ্ছা জানিয়ে সামাজিক যোগাযোগমাধ্যম, পোষ্টার সহ উপজেলার বিভিন্ন ইউনিয়নের সাধারণ মানুষের সঙ্গে নিজের প্রার্থিতার কথা জানান দিচ্ছেন। শামীমা আক্তার বিথী জনপ্রতিনিধি হয়ে সরাসরি মানুষের পাশে থাকার প্রত্যয় ব্যক্ত করেছেন তিনি।
শামীমা আক্তার বিথী বলেন, ‘তরুণরাই গড়বে আগামীর স্মার্ট বাংলাদেশ’। এরই অংশ হিসেবে তেরখাদাকে একটি আধুনিক ও স্মার্ট উপজেলা গড়তে ভূমিকা রাখতে চাই। তিনি বলেন, আসন্ন তেরখাদা উপজেলা পরিষদ নির্বাচনে ‘মহিলা ভাইস চেয়ারম্যান’ পদে প্রার্থী হওয়ার পরিকল্পনা রয়েছে। ভোটের মালিক জনগণ।
তারাই তাদের ভোট প্রয়োগের মাধ্যমে নির্বাচিত করবেন আগামীর নেতৃত্ব। শামীমা আক্তার বিথী আরও বলেন, বর্তমান সময়ে সকল স্থানে শিক্ষিত তরুণরা মূল্যায়িত হচ্ছে।
তরুণ নেতৃত্বই পাল্টে দিচ্ছে সমাজের অসঙ্গতি, আনছে আমূল পরিবর্তন। তিনি বলেন, আমার এই পদে আরো যারা প্রার্থী হবেন তাদের মধ্যে জনগণ যাকে যোগ্য মনে করবেন তাকেই ভোট দিয়ে নির্বাচিত করবেন। আমি সকলের দোয়া, সমর্থন ও সহযোগিতা প্রত্যাশা করছি।
