নিজস্ব প্রতিবেদক : খুলনার রূপসা উপজেলার রামনগর গ্রামে কিশোর গ্যাংয়ের হামলায় গুরুতর জখম জহিরের অবস্থা এখনো আশংকাজনক রয়েছে। ঘটনার রাতেই অ্যাম্বুলেন্সে করে তাকে নেওয়া হয়েছে ঢাকা মেডিকেল কলেজ হাসপাতালে। সেখানে চিকিৎসাধীন থাকলেও তার অবস্থা এখনো আশংকাজনক বলে জানা গেছে। তার শরীরে ৩২স্থানে কুপিয়ে জখম করা হয় বলে হাসপাতাল সূত্রে জানা গেছে।
এদিকে ২৫ মে ভোর রাতে এঘটনায় রামনগর গ্রামের রিয়াজুলকে প্রধান আসামী করে ৬ জনের নাম উল্লেখসহ অজ্ঞাত ৩/৪ জনের নামে মামলা দায়ের করেছে আহত জহিরের পিতা শেখ মহিদুল ইসলাম। যার মামলা নং ২৩, তারিখ ২৫/০৫/২৪। রাতেই মামলার এজাহারভুক্ত আসামী নৈহাটী মহিলা আওয়ামী লীগের সাধারণ সম্পাদক রোমেছাকে গ্রেফতার করেছে রূপসা থানা পুলিশ। বাকী আসামীদের গ্রেফতারে পুলিশী অভিযান অব্যাহত রয়েছে বলে জানিয়েছেন রূপসা থানার অফিসার ইনচার্জ মোঃ এনামুল হক।
স্থানীয় এলাকাবাসী সূত্রে জানা গেছে, জহিরের উপর হামলাকারী রিয়াজুল (৩৫) গত ৪ এপ্রিল রাতে খুলনা জেলা গোয়েন্দা পুলিশ ৫২ পিচ ইয়াবা ট্যাবলেট গ্রেফতার হয়। মাদক ব্যবসার দ্বন্দ্বের জেরে জহির পুলিশকে তথ্য দিয়ে রিয়াজুলকে ধরিয়ে দেয়। পুলিশকে তথ্য দেওয়ার ঘটনা জহির এলাকায় প্রচার করে। সম্প্রতি ওই মামলা থেকে জামিনে ফিরে এসে জহিরের উপর হামলার সুযোগ খুঁজতে থাকে রিয়াজুল। সুযোগ বুঝে ২৪ মে রাত সাড়ে ৭টার দিকে রামনগর গ্রামে আকবরের মোড়ে ওৎ পেতে থাকা রিয়াজুল, রাহাত ওরফে টিংকু, ইব্রাহীম ওরফে ইবি, সালাম মেম্বারের ছেলে সাকিবসহ মাদক সিন্ডিকেট ও কিশোর গ্যাংয়ের সদস্যরা জহিরের উপর হামলা চালায়। হামলাকারীরা আকবরের মোড়ের পাশের অন্ধকার গলিতে নিয়ে জহিরের হাত, পা, পিঠ, পেটসহ শরীরের ৩২ স্থানে ধারাল অস্ত্র দিয়ে কুপিয়ে জখম করে। এসময় আশপাশের অনেকেই এই ঘটনা দেখলেও ভয়ে জহিরকে সাহায্য করতে কেউ সাহস করেনি। কিছু সময় পরে ওই রাস্তা দিয়ে উপজেলা নির্বাচনের চেয়ারম্যান প্রার্থী কামরুজ্জামান মোল্লা মিছিল আসলে স্থানীয়রা জহিরকে উদ্ধার করে। এই রিয়জুলের বিরুদ্ধে লাকি হত্যাসহ অস্ত্র ও মাদক আইনে ৭টি মামলা রয়েছে। সে তালিমপুর এলাকার মোঃ রসুল খানের ছেলে রিয়াজুল।
রূপসা থানার অফিসার ইনচার্জ মোঃ এনামুল হক বলেন, ঘটনার খবর পেয়ে রাতেই ঘটনাস্থল পরিদর্শন করি। ভোর রাতে ভিকটিমের পিতা মহিদুল বাদী হয়ে মামলা দায়ের করেছে। মামলার এজাহারভুক্ত একজনকে আমরা গ্রেফতার করেছি। বাকী আসামীদের গ্রেফতারে অভিযান অব্যাহত রয়েছে।
